My first fusion alien, I went mecha musume on this one, with a design language inspired by gacha games like Alchemy Stars. I also gave a few winks and nods to my old Fourarms and Stinkfly redesigns.

I figured this was the perfect chance for me to draw an Armored Core inspired design. Having recently played AC6 I had a newfound appreciation for the mecha design work in the AC games. I really wish to learn more from this franchise.

I wanted to do a cross between the gundam unicorn and gundam physalis for Atomix’s design, in retrospect, I wish I toned down the Gundam influences or better implemented Atomix’s visual language.

Swampfire’s design looked very much like a typical superhero costume so I wanted to find something that would preserve that, and I landed on Tokusatsu. The translation was pretty smooth, but the fun part was making the alter version too. Going sukeban was 😔👌
