Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone but I’m really bad at perspective and turning planes in space. Something that seems like it would be really easy to “make up” like a butterfly is impossible for me. But that’s okay! Building maquettes is a really enjoyable part of the process for me.

I get asked about my process a lot since most of my sketches are digital!
I sketch digitally since it's easier to fix mistakes, check symmetry etc. & then I print out and transfer to traditional media using a lightbox! 💜

she had a book called The Snowcat Prince and projects related to it, but overall she designed many creatures and shared her process on YouTube! There were streams where she would design animals with her fans, it was a lot of fun!
