RIP, Daniel Johnston. I bought some of his illustrations last year to celebrate the legacy he left behind for many musicians who felt like outsiders. He made me realise having a polished sound didn’t matter. If the emotion was real, people would feel it. I loved him so much. 💚

1987 just wasn't Mike W. Barr's year. DC swept his Batman plot points under the rug with a brutal swiftness and took away his editorship over The Outsiders. By the end of the year, Barr was off Detective Comics and Outsiders was cancelled after 4 years.

Batman and the Outsiders 16 was a quick read, I'd loved to see Lady Shiva kick some ass but that didn't happened. At least we got some nice interactions with her daughter. Also Black Lighting had his moment to shine, which was cool.
