My latest read, the excellent 'Dawn of Swords' by @thatdalglishguy and @robertduperre, a book that takes the time needed to devise the plot, create great characters, kill some of them in fantastic ways, and leave you with the desire to get more. Highly recommended.

"Durandal" was the sword of Charlemagne's palladin Roland.
Poignant scene as he dies, Roland smashes it so it will not fall into enemy hands:
