It's a live doodle effect. Kinda hard to see because I toned it down so it's subtle. And it doesn't work super well with my existing style. But with a crayon style outline, I think it'd look pretty cool

It's weird how anime character design has gotten so flattened in the past decade. There's still a few notable outliers, but it ain't how it used to be. I miss top shows having overtly stylish designs and weird looking characters.

Here's a few closeups of my model! I actually used the Fortnite model for the final piece as it saved me from having to do a lot of retopology!

I also love the Freestyle outlines. I just tweaked the alpha and it gives them a nice texture!

fun fact: when i draw rin with a thicker outline on the eyes/thicker waterline, it's usually because i'm . pretty much depicting . myself THROUGH rin ,,, i do it often
