For me it was Master of Martial Hearts. Not only was it a shitty generic fanservice show, not only was that last episode a mind fuck beyond belief, but they absolutely ruined the character designs. (Left is the show, Right is the same character by the original artist)

Skintone can change by various factors like light and whether they are in natural light or artificial light, etc. Even in the show, the skintone constantly changes when they are in a new environment with different light conditions. ⬇️
