How can AI tools be used to improve the artistic process in digital art WITHOUT replacing the entire process?

I keep hearing "AI is the future" but without seeing an application for it outside of "prompt generation" what is its use?

Testing the same image in pages like stable diffusion dreambooth, gave what people hate most. Great art generated by a PC AI who learned from art mostly from great artists from PIXIV. Like a combination of many artists, or using poses that already exist.
