2. Bit darker colour to "thicker" areas, mostly centers
3. Bubbles with star/freckle brush
4. Cell shading
5. Turn the shade layer opaque
6. Sorta hasty (Strong) white lines for the glow

I learned that these lines aren't just little crosshatch areas to show the eye is more recessed on the inside.

It is. And they do.

But! They also follow the rhythm of the orbit. Which is the bottom of the eye socket. It sounds obvious, but I had an "aha!" moment.

dither looks better in smaller areas (shadows, details, etc) but not TOO small. It looks better where it feels more natural as a 'texture' too - like on the hair and her jacket here. It looks weirder as a primary color in skin, but it doesnt seem to bother me with the rest

this week I learnt that darker areas in a drawing are less detailed and some artists add a noise effect in them, it will make them look more natural and you can spare some time
