Both of their designs contain clouds! Gorou’s (on his pants) are more traditional while Kazuha’s (on his wish art & his burst) are more modern. One could argue that the swirly patterns on Kazuha’s sleeves are also similar to clouds.

highlights: the striped collar and inside of coat, hair feather, nose ring, all the tassely bits
the duller palette of the ingame sprite is a shame tho
