the worst offender of them all was season 8 which released in 2020. it introduced a new artstyle, made the winx even younger and completely tarnished the show's legacy.
it was fine when the 1st and 2nd seasons were remade into 4 tv movies to reintroduce the series to american audiences. everything turned sore with the release of the 5th season. though, successful due to nick's massive promo, s5 marked the end of winx club's legacy and quality.
one of things that made winx club such an amazing show was its diversity and amazing array of representation despite being a show from the early 2000s in a european country. this helped make millions of kids and teens in the world feel accepted for who they are.
