The first non-Miyazaki anime that got me into anime was the first Appleseed movie, smol and (almost) forgotten little sister of GitS. Shame, I like it a lot.
So, I can't sleep, I hit 5k and here is Deunan Knute from Appleseed. I've tried to make her more like 80's OVA style.

What’s your take on ‘Ghost in the Shell’ v. ‘Blade Runner 2049′ v. ‘Alita: Battle Angel’?

My view:

• GITS 2017: Visual feast, but script could be improved.
• BR 2049: Well-​made, but a bit too ‘cold’ for me.
• Alita: Most all-​round entertainment, but not cerebral/​deep.
