I drew this with a reed pen dipped in sumi ink some time during Ganesh Chaturthi last year. Found the page randomly today, so scanned it up and threw some colour on it.

The reed pen has a nice bit of chaos to it. Quite good for a rough, scratchy cartoon style.

The appeal is the cartoony violence; not the characters. You play along because of the jokes and gags. They are vessels for funny drawings and the bad things that happen to them. Mostly Tom. Maybe more than any other cartoon (short of Itchy and Scratchy).
