Thought this was going to be Typhlosion? As much as I love the (literally) flaming honeybadger, in terms of practical use Torterra is king. Dishes out pain and cannot be clobbered by anything unless it's Ice type. Even then, all it needs is to survive, and it can use Stone Edge.

Torterra! My all-time favourite starter Pokémon. In my opinion one of the best and most interesting designs of any Pokémon, I love this thing more than I can really put into words, and I really enjoyed the relationship between Ash's & Paul's Torterras in the anime 🌲

fast doodle, but i had to shout out my torterra Razorstorm from when I was 8 years old in 2007...Pearl was my first pokemon game that was my own (that I wasn't sharing with my sister) and he was my first pokemon I raised to lvl 100. I love my big turt😭
