For is Elizabeth Siddal’s ‘Clerk Saunders’. The watercolour was finished in 1857 and the study was produced in 1854. A woodblock illustration it was part of a commission to illustrate a collection of ballads William Allingham was editing for Routledge.

I hope you all had a good sleep and are feeling refreshed and ready for a new day. I've got a Japanese color woodblock to share. Considering it's from 1926 it has a remarkably modern look. It's "Morning at Mt. Tsurugi" by Yoshida Hiroshi. Quite fabulous! Enjoy.
