Rewatched Prince of Egypt again...for research. (This seems to be a yearly ritual of sorts.) The background painting, the colour keys, the layouts, the character designs are all so good. These are some of Paul Lasaine's paintings:

But over all, I still think both games are good, just that they have different things they do well.

I think the story is better and dismounting is good in 3, and I think the assasain subplot and Shadow Dragon reclassing makes 12 have its own merits.

Honestly, play both.
