im vinny/niko!! i mostly draw intermission and carapace stuff but my art tends to vary. homestuck was one of the most formative things for me artwise so it bleeds into a lot of stuff i do lol

During my formative years, the "heroes" they offered me were basketball players, Jedis, child magicians, rappers, and activists. They tried to get me to believe Gandhi & the suffragettes were the peak.

Resolved: we will show the youth more invigorating alternatives.

midiaou made some really helpful, informative reference sheets and a nice thread on reconstructing them. just remember not to make them too chimp-like; they should strike a balance. also check out the work of john gurche for anatomical reference.

Fanart of getting ready to bring her viewers a ton of fun, and not fun but interesting info.✨✨

But for real, totally recommend her videos, I enjoy watching them and also having them as bg noise when drawing. They are super informative and interesting.

I'm a bit late on this, but I just went back to find some of my old Yu-Gi-Oh arts
Kazuki Takahashi really had a huge impact on my formative years, and continues to even today (thread)

I cannot even begin to tell you how important this character was to me during my formative years. Lettuce was so relatable & seeing Ichigo tell her in this reboot that she needs to start caring about herself too absolutely wrecked me like I was 10 years old again

Posting Lady Koto from Kyousogiga because she would of destroyed many of the people we know now if they watched this when it aired in their formative years

TGCF audio drama: after listening to the PV, I just love Jiang Guangtao-laoshi's performance so much from the donghua and it was so transformative for me, I wish they were able to hire him again for the AD as well. Still, excited to listen further!

I view Ai art as more of a transformative art style, turning something completely random, non coherent into something coherent with intent and meaning behind the piece.

A way of giving order to the chaos that the machine makes. /4

I drew this 15 years ago and spent much of my childhood watching the anime and playing the card game. I'm ashamed to admit my experience with the manga is only with Vol. 1, but what Takahashi's genius spawned was a huge part of my formative years, and this tragic loss hits hard. https://t.co/W8PjD87QHp

Not sure what I can say. Kazuki Takahashi's works were a hugely formative part of mine and many others' childhoods. His love of tabletop games and occultism gave form to a series that still has a hold on the culture. Takahashi, thank you🕊

Yugioh for me, like so many others, was really formative and something I took and will continue to take with me.
I don't have anything especially good or smart to say here, except for thank you.

Why yes, I DID see Honey, I Shrunk the Kids in my formative years... why do you ask?
