For those wondering, this is what her original design looked like, this was all the way from 2020 during lockdown in the summer. Her first design was originally yellow and white til’ I switched it for a more golden look.
Also, major props to the 3D design and modeling team!!
So many shots straight up look like paintings brought into a 3D space. The misshapen models, the scratches, and hand brushed look.... it strikes a nice balance of being cartoon-y while also evoking a realistic painted feel.

The first time I redid Sola's design, there were concern about making them look too different so I just made them look.. Slightly less feminine and cutesy.
After a while, I feel like I was being too careful with that, especially compared to how I draw Sola recently.

After a while I came up with this yolk face look. To have a more kid friendly look, I thought of space kook from Scooby doo. A pretty scary figure but in a fun way!
I'm really enjoying this character. I think I'm zeroing in on her look. Went with a different top combo and kept the bottom almost unchanged. Still working on it and welcome any comments or advice on fashion from desert/ HOT climates
