My take (actually, one of many many many) on Alice in Wonderland. I was obsessed with Alice since I was a child and saw the 1985 musical, my bachelor's degree project was all about this book and I still have a soft spot for it. This time a gothic version with flamingo.
Mānawatia a Matariki - Happy Māori New Year! June 24th is now an official holiday in Aotearoa/NZ. Matariki is a star cluster A.K.A. "Pleiades" & this time of year it's visible in my homeland. Appreciation for those lost, those present, & looking to the future today.

The untouchable Nykur is a water demon, taking the form of a horse who hangs around lakes in Iceland. According to lore, if you touch one, you're instantly stuck to him, and anyone who tries to release you will become affixed and doomed to drown, too.

In the mirror, I see a woman who has lost her land.
A woman who does not know where she came from and where she is going.

Southern Rockhopper Penguin
Rockhoppers are found bounding, rather than waddling, as most other penguins do, among the craggy, windswept shorelines of the islands north of Antarctica, from Chile to New Zealand.
24 June 1784. Thirteen year old Edward Warren made the first, two hour two mile tethered balloon ascent in the United States, in Baltimore, Maryland. America’s first aviator volunteered when the craft proved too weak to lift its builder, Peter Carnes.
Voilà, après 11 mois passé à ses côtés, il est temps de dire au revoir à Alexia Morland. Et je peux dire une chose, c'est que je suis fière de cette femme, passer de n°2 d'un gang de rue à la tête une mafia dont elle est La Juez.
Merci Alexia, tu vas me manquer.
