2010 vs 2022 - many years of practice + back aches later... #skillnottalent 🥺💪✨
2021 vs 2022 #skillnottalent
I used to just doodle on napkins and never attempt any full illustrations because I was afraid to fail. If I put in no effort, I could tell myself, “well, I didn’t try.” 🧵 1/5

Some people do glow up real quick, but some of us only have the long road. #SkillNotTalent
There's no Easy Button. There's only putting your heart and soul into it for as long as it takes. Maybe you get there. Maybe you don't. But there's no direct flight. You're walking.
2010 -> 2022
Realism isn't my usual style but I do love doing the black and white portraits for fun

2018 vs. 2022
I made my first digital piece in August 2018 :D
I can’t believe I spent on it more than 10-15 hours haha
too chicken to put this in the skillnottalent tag but wild im drawing them still and even how much ive improved since the 'new' examples alone
2018 -> summer 2022
I used to believe art was about being talented, but I've been reassured that isn't the case. I was a late bloomer & didn't study or learn properly, but now that's what I'm currently devoting most of my time to doing & I'm proud of how far I've come.
