I'm addicted to a colouring technique where you slap 3 different layer types over a greyscale image, and it makes it go cool colours.

Here is the finished Friends OC's image. A few of them are Greyscale due to not having colour reference for them. I did do a version where I picked my own colours for the characters. Will tag everyone in separate reply.

A bit of a concept art for a Deadlands Noir character named Sarah Mitchell, destitute starving artist grifter. Her vice is smoking and she uses her cigarette ashes with water as a poorman's greyscale paint. She has a delusion that a man she sees often is her soulmate.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to do this in color or in greyscale, so I did both! I colored it, then took it into Photoshop and did a greyscale version with just hints of color. I really like how it came out ❤️
