Every part that moves is isolated on its own layer in the file you import into it, and live2d creates a texture atlas.
Then you set deformation maps etc. on the parts and create parameters, assigning specific deformations/positions to specific values on the parameters.

I always do greyscale checks to make sure my values look good. Sometimes I like them as much as the final colored version :3

Thanks for the tag I love how you go full force in placing your grayscale values in your early steps!

I tend to roll the opposite and get right to colors first and let things organically grow as I clean up.
