practicing choosing colors following values instead of hues
as long as the value is consistent, you can use colors that aren’t similar together for more visual vibrancy
Coal is someone who values transparency above all else
Brandish 😏
I will publish some uncensored, I hope to have more followers and supporters on Patreon and Gumroad, if it happens I will make more images here uncensored and ecchi and hentai, you can see the values in the links in the bio
this is roughly how i rendered
i think generally for my style of shading
making the shadow shapes and values looking nice from the start is important
afterwards theres not that much work besides blending, adding glows, reflected light, etc...
Felt like doing a little remake of my Hapi illustration from 2020! The new one is the one with the cats🐱 I'm glad I've gotten better at colors and values! (Fire Emblem Three Houses)
i lvoe working with red but keeping the values at a proper range is a task of its own 😖
watched a video about values and adjusted things 👀
still a big mess, but we'll see!
found a cool ref too!
I sent my art to a client who commissioned me to make fight stick art of his original character.✍️😊
The client really liked the art and gave me a big tip. I really appreciate this tipping culture. Tips are the lifeblood of my art life. They are also proof that he values me… https://t.co/ZTYpP9pLdM
small behind-the-scenes:
with this one I tried (for the first time if I recall?) that technique where you draw only the values first
also make sure to check your values i think i could have pushed it a bit more https://t.co/QHoVcPIvlu
By choosing different colors but with the same value .. if the colors have different values it will look like this .
Easy way for telling if the values are the same or not is by turning the pic into gray scale https://t.co/LPaG6XJQxd
Day 752: It doesn't look like much progress at all, but I think the color balance here is better than yesterday's version. The old version felt kind of disorganized, here I think the values keep the focus on Flare and not the background.
...now how do i render white socks?
