Here's saria dark turtle neck, you could see that Norizc doesn't shade it but add highlight and lighting instead

Black is the darkest value so you can't shade but still can add lighter colour on top

Finished the art for a certain birdie. It was interesting to try and shade only with hard edges, but it requires a lot of logic and good placement. I fucked up a lot, the only place where it works in my opinion is the ''hair'' or y'know, the top of the head. Maybe the beak too
