For years people in [REDACTED] had stories of seeing the bayou itself shift, sightings of a huge nose, and occasionally ‘tentacles’. Locals collectively attributed it all to “Bayou Bogart”. In 1949 the town was leveled flat with a large crater in the nearby bayou.
