Aside from the (startlingly homo-erotic poster), there's this iconic cameo in the opening credits. (Nedrick Young (at the time credited as "Nathan E. Douglas") was blacklisted at the time so director Stanley Kramer had the writers appear onscreen right as their names appeared)

With the new LOTR series coming out soon I can't wait to dive back into the films and The Hobbit fan edits. :) Gotta do some new Middle-Earth art soon.
