I do a LOT in the rough stages and it still looks terrible, because this is the base of the final painting. Then I did a separate layer of smudging for my warp effect; I penciled a rough outline of where smoke should go, then smudged it around (sample all layers).

Samuel Sterns walked through the Green Door and gained knowledge in life to be reborn The Leader. Writer Al Ewing, Penciler Butch Guice, Inker Tom Palmer, Colorist Paul Mounts. Good story, and I’m a fan of Guice and Palmer, but this isn’t their best. 3/5
