This is based on a small inlet, near my studio, in Pembrokeshire. The river twists its way around a bend to the sea, sheltering the harbour behind. I often walk here when the tide's out, or swim when it's in.

Cartimandua, leader of the Brigante Tribe is an often forgotten figure of whom little is known. The Brigantes covered a large area of Northern England mainly modern day A Celt, she is best known for delivering fellow Celt Caractacus to the Romans.
