Here are some examples from Magic Order by Oliver Copiel who does this brilliantly IMO To take away the focus he almost puts haze over the background putting suggestions of objects rather than rendering them in detail.

1/ A little about my plans for next year...

As well as digitally painting abstracts I'm also going to be exploring further more graphic ways to create abstracts. I'm still creating the marks and composition with my hand but I'm rendering them with pixels and graphics...
