Hello Twitter world. I never thought I wouldn't recognize mid-life crisis. It's like a teenager that would rather go out partying. Nevertheless, you find me hashing it out with lights and darks values-distribution in an image. I may not go to sleep tonight.

Lucellus: Chaotic Good Cleric
A bit of a troll but ultimately an advocate for peaceful agreements. Some AU’s a cleric, others a nurse. Loves gardening and has a tendency for falling in love easily. He’s a bit of a mom friend. Values Belief above all.

Gako: Burnt Out Dark Mage
Lost his arms in an accident depending on AU (ignore pic). Uses dark magic to conjure arms. Apathetic and blunt, but that’s mostly due to social anxiety. Often involved in medicinal field no matter the verse d/t family pressure. Values Spirit above all.

Kani: Pastel Baker
Cute and he knows it, he feigns innocence to get what he wants. Is still an amateur baker, but can be rather sweet when he’s not being a troll about it. A bit manic sometimes and quite clingy to those he loves. Values Dreams above all.

Leonix: Bird Watcher
A biker looking for a purpose. Cool and confident (or is he really?), he likes using breakdancing in his fighting style. Has a penchant for rap but also a soft, romantic side. He’s Shinai’s uncertain flame of hope. Coincidentally values Hope above all else.

They can help you grow with values, life lessons, experiences and worlds to explore that not many mediums can do. Animation helps you appreciate Art and film in one single medium. No matter what age you are in, animation does not stop to impress. Thank u.

Here I'm just figuring out which values go where, which colors I can group together and which I need to emphasize. I can already tell I'm going to have to much fun painting her wrap/turban (unsure of correct terminology, feel free to correct)

Still using watercolors

Lalalava~. Took a bit longer than I wanted. Mainly wanted to keep in mind to push the values further than I am used to.

I was FINALLY able to finish these. The last time I actually worked on these was almost a year ago. The goal is still values and I obviously still need a lot of work. Aiming for something more simple, maybe something that can go into games or an animated series maybe?? (1/2)

The final color idea for the character design. I chose to do a triad with pastel values rather than complementary colors or monotones.

Happy 2020!

Human rights are about the way we treat each other and the values we hold dear – things like dignity, fairness, equality, tolerance and respect. Our human rights are the hidden foundations that help us live together freely and fairly.
