I found the little program Veadotube Mini over on itch while working on this, which makes it super simple to set up. All it took was a few expression alts to plug into the image slots in the program and the rest was taken care of.

I used to make custom Xrd colors actually. the main problem was that you had to use a 3rd party program to hook the game and load custom textures. and by doing that the game would desync a bunch when you tried playing online, so it was never worth it.

For shading, I tend to take the color, change the hue and lightness down a few n go from that yk??
