Next up is Custom Robo, a neat little arena battler mech game for the Gamecube that helped to kickstart an interest in super robots and things adjacent to them. Game is hoakey as all hell but has such a neat battle system, soundtrack and story.

the original release of this on gamecube is probably why i like any of the things i do today. this was my first real rpg and to this day i struggle to find games that know their identity like this one does. i have a clavat tattoo for gods sake. this game feels like home

this is my all time favourite game. i've played through it well over 10 times and have it both on the gamecube and got a copy on my pc so i don't have to dig out my gamecube controllers hah
