Really got a strong grasp on Yoshiyuki Tomino's storyboarding approach from Gundam I. Big part of this is the selective introduction of colour whether it's imposed on a cut or matched to a setting. It isn't necessarily coded but used for highlight fear, anger, shock, etc.
