Closing things here with a what-if piece had Terminus actually been Megatron’s father figure from day one (because honestly its 2020 and IDW Megs keeps looking more like a tragic fallen hero).

One of the interesting things for me in the IDW series was the introduction of ‘beast mode’ Transformers as a social caste in Cybertron—they’re shunned partly for their looks which meant wilder designs for characters like Ravage, Tigatron and Laserbeak.
