Felt like sharing some WIPs of this one. Initially was thinking to add the Traveler's visage into the clouds, but in the end I decided on something a little subtler by putting his symbol in the foreground and making it out of a driftwood arch and a winding pathway of sand.
On a similar theme, there was initially a problem with the lighting of the Lincoln Memorial. I ain't saying you should never light a portrait from below, but, basically you should never do that.
after some consideration, I decided that it should be brighter (it was brighter initially but then, for some reason, I decided to darken it)

The Sun Spirit is a really iconic and interesting part of Aether 1's content and I really wanted to explore where he came from and what he is with the comic book. Really love the idea of him initially presenting as a divine being and that facade slowly breaking down.

Quite something how two of the biggest classic video games/game series took inspiration from Popeye. Pac-Man w/ the power pellets being inspired by spinach power in the 'toon adaptations, and Donkey Kong being made after Nintendo initially couldn't get the rights to Popeye.
