Such happy vibrant illustration style for La Mercè, a celebration of Barcelona's patron saint of the city, and its Festa Major, a festival of festivals. These coloful funny beauties definitely reflect just that. They're so well done and very appealing. https://t.co/RbUG8t45oW

A collector in Florida paid $100,312.50 (est. $50,000/70,000) for "Appeal to the Great Spirit," a 22" high bronze sculpture by Cyrus Edwin Dallin (1861-1944) at @bonhams1793 (2/26/21) https://t.co/PzYG5E9uF2 #antiques #antique #art #artist #Americana #sculpture #sculptor #bronze
@minnie_mag Yeah it’s cliche, but you can’t deny the appeal of a super shotty
@SoberDOGS Thank you for the post, I love discovering new artists from threads like this <3
I'm Eden, a genderqueer ace! I like vibrant colors, animals and slapping text on my art randomly :DD
I'm very inconsistent with my style but that's the appeal~
I messed with just shoving colors on canvas to relax earlier since we're having some issues with my disability appeal (I got a letter saying I was losing Medicare even though we applied to continue receiving it during the appeal) and it's grown on me so here's this.
I don't really care for Katawa Shoujo too much, though Rin had a fantastic route.
I really like how alienating Rin's personality was.
It's a really challenging character, one who cannot properly convey their emotion.
Her appeal was small victories. It felt like a real person.
@sylessae Thanks for the opportunity
You could choose from Deimos, omen or xerxez whichever appeals
A little teaser image (yet again). The full image will show the pencil sketch next to the coloured version. It's a good example to show how even a bit of colour can go a long way to make a rather rough sketch a bit more appealing and easier to comprehend. :)
Its a manga that has good sense of style and well drawn characters even Okubo when he made Soul Eater struggled to make the characters look visually appealing early on
"Few animals are more graceful when running than those of the Kangaroo tribe; but ... artists will not take the trouble to observe them ... when a sketch is attempted, a caricature is the result. We appeal to the rising generation & trust they will learn to draw a Kangaroo" 1/3
I've been a fan of this guy's work for a very long time, and he drew a lot of stuff that really appealed to me...
@nana2venus @RealLifeKirito Writing will provide context and reason to a design, but writing doesn't provide the visual appeal/impression. There are million ways in which a super hero can be portrayed. All of characters bellow portray a powerful being and I for example, know nothing about at least 3 of them
@RealLifeKirito I still think you shouldn't sacrifice character looks. Making an ugly character, doesn't mean your character should lack appeal. Here are some examples of great looking ugly characters on different mediums
Never understood the appeal of Gnaw and the Sharkticons. They're kinda dopey, and they transform into the same thing, but with a larger mouth.
Of course, over time, I've grown to appreciate these fellers...we also share a similar physique...
There isn't a consistent direction for the Sonic franchise, and there never has been. Hot take: that's not really a bad thing. Different takes on Sonic appeal to different people. It all really matters honestly. End the gatekeeping!
