Sine I'm still seeing it. They didn't trace. The artwork is made before the sprites and models and sometimes they use one of the poses in the concept art as it's 'official art' and other times they just make an all new one.

They've been doing it since Gen 3... C'mon now

The biggest glow-up is easily Lunatic

Not only is the remix really unique and the vocals are actually good now, but Lunatic herself looks way, WAY better - to the point where I actually love this character now

imo it's less about dynamism and more about it looking like the in-game party sprites which aren't flattering - this doesn't happen with other other pseudos. kommo-o is a good example, whose overall form benefits from the slight angle change. i need to be stuffed in a locker NOW!
