Big fan of both you guys’ work and wandering into this convo late.

I’ve played with blurring…in my humble opinion it looks weird because it breaks the linework/brush strokes.

Depth of field can be done just as crearly via contrast and level of detail.

It's Super Metroid's 29th anniversary! It's possibly my favorite of the 2D Metroid games. Although, it's hard to pick since I love all of them dearly. Even though the game is almost 30 years old, I still enjoy it just as much to this day.

I'm seeing the direction my art is taking and although Im happy with the progress I'm making, I really want to try and learn how to do a softer shading with less saturation. I'll get there one day ^^
