This is a new direction for me and below I'll share a bit about the symbols in them and how I created them.
@mippness Eyes like a cat, tongue like a snake, ears like a bat, antelope horns, deer legs, serpent tail, those are all symbolic too.

One thing I like is incorporating threes into the designs of my angel-like ocs. Aside from the wing motif, they have 3 glowing spokes in their eyes that represent the "trinitarian symbol", a connection to their creator.
@mippness Rocket, Chip, and pretty much every important character in my comic has a spiral somewhere on their design! Usually yellow. The black hole they were escaping from I'm chapter 1 was also a yellow spiral, so that's symbolism or something. Plus it kinda ties their designs together

Besides that, if a character has a connection to others, I try to give at least one thing that's symbolic of the person they have a tie with (nails painted in the other person's color, shoelaces in the person's color, matching bracelets, earrings, etc.)
@mippness How a lot of characters of mine wear these big golden belts. Theyre actually a symbol of ranking, gold meaning royalty, and iron meaning soldiers. Most of the characters arent actually royalty or soldiers, and just steal them to show their strength
