ghibli’s concept art for porco rosso eventually took a slightly different tone, a bit more cheery. I chose reference photos with similar angles to better study the basic principles. my colours could have been lighter but there was a fair amount of YOLO involved, so that’s good.

@NitsuaGamer I haven't done many, but I'm open to the idea of doing them. I've got a basic one on file for example, but I don't have any issues with adding more detail, posing, and angles if needed.

I'm all quiet, working on a new big piece in the "Vintage addictions" series. Here's a little double bounce reference cycle I just made for it. Using the Layer Styles > Stroke + camera trick to get the isometric angles right. Below you can see the actual 2D animated cycle.
