When it comes to drawing eyes for me it always comes down to face proportions, you have to understand the rules of constructing a face such as the fact eyes are 1 eyeball distance apart from each other and that they follow the shape of the face, so i'd suggest studying that

i use JustSketchMe for proportions and google specific hair styles or facial structures when i need to. i also tend to take pictures of my hands in the specific poses i need them to be in.
