I flatted it. Will color once I decide on a color pallet and lighting scheme.

I designed this composition mostly with line and shape focal points. I hadn't fully planned out the colors or values so this will be very experimental.

Is anyone good with gradient maps? PS vs. CSP?

Tried doing a color-values exercise where I remove the color of my layer and paint in randomly chosen colors. Tried staying with 4-ish colors. Also, my Tenno Operator for the first time lads and laddies~

Process video here, I did not construct very much and took a very organic approach instead. Crunched my values a few times before finding what I wanted ! (Also there might be weird colors since as a colorblind person I cannot really distinguish green from red).

Saw a demo from Scott Flanders at today and was inspired to create a rogue’s gallery of aliens using those techniques. Fun stuff! Three values only, no line work, just build on random silhouettes.

Color tip! Keep in mind what colors are intense at what values. Example: red is intense at a middle value, and yellow is intense at a light value, so I knew red in the light and the yellow in the shadow could be part of the same value group. This helps to plan values structures!
