Looks like they just went with "Boba Fett's Starship.

The SLAVE 1 design was based on a radar dish. This modified Firespray-31-class patrol-attack craft, lied flat on its bottom surface when idle, & rotated 90 degrees to maneuver vertically. Fett added a stabilization system which always kept the cockpit oriented "up".
