Sad to say Alien Star Menace has been removed from the Google Play Store, making it my last mobile game to vanish off the face of the earth.

I won't be returning to mobile. The constant "you have to update this or your game is gone" policy changes of iOS and Google suck.

Folks at forums wanted some of that mecha action, so I'll oblige.

The X68000 versions, released in 1989/1991, play decently enough, but Square does a lot to make the original game way more fun and fair. It's a shame they removed the original presentation, though.
