I am back again with blender!, this time I made a robot hand so I would know how to make the joints of Daoner and it took about 4 hours, rigging was also easy once I learnt how to copy joint constraints across bones.

Now, onto Tintin. The look of her limbs and joints were referenced partially from the space suits seen in the Moon Arc. The rest was kind of up to me since there are (sadly) no robots in the Tintin universe, so I just went for a "retro-futuristic" look for her outfit & palette.

I know it still looks like nothing has changed, but believe me, there are changes.

I added two extra joints in upper calf, which allows front/back & side to side movements of upper pede plates. I gave him a double knee joint too, which I’m testing to see if it properly works.

Further messy iteration on the arms! Way more into these ones

Similar construction on the fingers, modular and able to open up to reveal the tool underneath, but far more simple joint mechanisms overall that mimic the human arm a bit more.

Here’s MK III of the robot I made, it now has improved joints, hands, extended sensory parts on head, has plating covering certain vital areas, and many parts are now internal rather than being vulnerable on the surface.
