Which shading style do you guys prefer
Do you like the hard lines or prefer the shading a bit more smoothed out around the edges?

I need honest opinions these are both wips so neither is done at all. I am trying a new style with just painting and my regular style of hard lines I will be adding shading and lighting on the lined one soon. But just want opinions and tips from fellow artist who just paint. Ty!

I'd study anything that was super jerky/stylized and things with heavy shading. Any free time I'd try to cram as much into my head as possible. I look at this old footage and it's like, "Shading is wrong. Background is too blank. Animation drawings are in the wrong place."
