These are all compositions where I used the spiral to guide my sketch, and I say "guide" because as you can see, I'm not following it literally, but where I could I would have directional lines either roughly or literally follow the spiral shape to lead towards my focus.

With the more detailed sketch, I personally tend to keep my cats quite angular, mostly made up of triangles and squares

Whereas with ponies, rounder shapes and edges are used for a more bouncy, less fluffy shape
