This might be one of my better little reconstructions when treated in isolation. Based on latest analyses that place Meganthropus near Lufengpithecus, aka as an ape. #meganthropus #paleoart #digitalart #paleoanthropology #historyofscience
@Cryodrakon3 @MechaMag75 There is an unending menagerie of living species you could turn to for creative reconstructions that can be achieved while still remaining within the realms of possibility.
And even IF you end up reusing the same models, you can use diff patterning aesthetics to differentiate
The rounded edge that I added to the front of the top of the crest was artistic license. I thought it looked more aesthetically pleasing than other reconstructions, which leave that area flat.
BIG SHOUTOUT TO @starvs
thank you and congratulations on collecting Reconstruction!!!
I’m incredibly grateful to have a collector like him supporting my work, he truly believes in the artists he’s investing in and is in this for the long run.

THE RECONSTRUCTION OF MR SIN - An excerpt from my new comic.
Fate is a lot of things. A deconstruction and reconstruction of heroism. An epic fantasy esque action series filled with plenty of small slice of life moments. It’s also a touching romance where 3 DIFFERENT heroines heal from there own perspective wounds. IT IS NOT A HAREM.
I’ve wanted to do a speculative reconstruction of Dilophosaurus for ages, so anyway…
gray kyurem; the unnatural, botched "reconstruction" of the dragon god, Unova, with kyurem's sole mind at the helm. though powerful, its body aches with tremendous pain, nowhere close to the pain it inflicts unto others.
Fast Castle did reconstruction in 1987 followed corbel machicolations along as I thought it was a Hall block. But changed this when I found (in ruin painting) it led to part of a Keep which makes alot more defensive sense. So tweaked reconstruction. #FastCastle #ScottishCastles
The first detailed reconstruction of the adductor musculature of the pterodactyloid #skull enables estimations of #BiteForce for 9 species of #pterosaur, with implications for hypotheses of potential dietary habits.

Sometimes you can't help but want to draw a big theropod. Every Paleoartist does at some point. This time I bring you a very speculative reconstruction of the enigmatic and very large North African theropod Bahariasaurus as a large basal Coelurosaurian.
A pair of Paleoart reconstructions: Telmasaurus and Squalodon.
Telmasaurus was a medium sized basal Varanoid (a stem-Monitor lizard if you will) from the Late Cretaceous Flaming Cliffs of Mongolia. Squalodon is a macropredatory Platanistoid whale from the Oligocene and Miocene.
The Triumphs of Caesar (1484-92) are 9 works by Mantegna which have been described as his masterpiece. They were painted for Mantua but acquired by Charles I of England in 1629. They have been badly degraded over time but are still an impressive reconstruction of a Roman Triumph
Art takes many forms & perhaps one of the best examples of that was Philip Sink’s submission made out of Lego! He designed the sculpture out of Lego with reference to Matt Dempsey’s musculature reconstruction & Andrey Atuchin’s reconstruction of Pops’ skull. Amazing work, Philip
