I've been trying a lot to work on *NOT* doing SameFace. 8D I don't know how successful I've been, though.

I read somewhere that Oda’s original character designs would always have the characters ears at their jawline, I googled it and that’s a whole fact, and now I can’t unsee how ridiculous they look.

In this case the main thing that made her hard was how her face is asymmetrical. If I were to mirror her jawline on the right to the left she'd lose the feminine feel and look kind of funky.

It looks a bit dodgy in close-up, but it's better than prior attempts.
It might just be the angle, but Marco looks to have his iconic banana skull in missions, but in the hub his nose and jawline shrink to something almost human. There's hope for ghoulish caricatured Fio yet.

When I think of girl designs that my profs would tell me; No you can't draw small girls with big hands! Or overly broad jawline. I think of this: Fictional girls who don't match standard depictions. It's what I aim too. :)
