IT IS STUDY DAY.
I've been wrestling over some big things in my latest project so it's time to step back, study some basics and apply what I've learned.
Bring a cozy beverage and come study with me!
Day 13 - Hands, I just traced over a bunch of hands and observed patterns, on right is what I learned. Left is a jumbled mess.
Streamed drawing something to my girlfriend as she wants to draw things too, showed her some of the tricks I learned... this is what I ended up making on stream with her!
Trust, a hard lesson learned. #poems #WritingCommunity #4 https://t.co/NVtZTicwPC
The first day of the year and I redid a picture I did just six months ago. It's really great to compare and see how much I have learned. I plan to make 2020 a year of progression and growth. #illustration #ArtCommission #redo #flashfloods #canyons
@CorgiYugy Always learning! This year around April was when I actually started to take art seriously. The first pic is when I had JUST got my first tablet and had NO idea how to use it. Second and third are more recent, and I'm really proud of what I've learned.
Monika’s tip of the day~
What’s a test? A test is a quiz to see how much you’ve learned. Sure you may pass or fail, but that just tells you. You’re either learning at a good pace or maybe need a little more teaching. Don’t worry about the score, think of the experience you gain~
#2009vs2019 Comic Art edition.
That's a perfect comparison this year - because this is the same (reworked) scene actually. Things I learned... less is (so much) more <D At least if you want to draw more than 20 pages a year.

This fatass squirrel pokemon has learned...
Stockpile
Stuff Cheeks
Swallow
...
and now it just learned Belch.
This is the best Pokemon game.
Yep: that sense of shame is bloody POWERFUL.
It's also learned. Created by centuries of collective conditioning. And we call time on it! No bloody more! #WalkOfNoShame https://t.co/yplAG8BbP7

He's not the smoothest operator on the planet, but I never animated a walk cycle in Spriter before.
I've also discovered that doing this type of work in Spriter isn't easy when you're using a trackpad mouse. Lesson learned.

2017 vs 2019. Sometimes is nice to look back and appreciate all the things you have learned. I always think that what I do is mediocre. But I guess this comparison made me feel better and I wanted to share that with you. Dont be so harsh on yourself 💕✨
