Actually, I'll just post why the Ruby-Spears Mega Man has a diamond on his forehead here:

Looking at Mega's model sheet, Mega Man's forehead square is drawn at an odd perspective, resembling a diamond. I assume all artists afterwards misinterpreted, leading to our lovely💎boy🥰

I actually have a design like that where the eyebrows go over the hair. The eyes used to too but at some point I decided to give her a forehead.
